Ankmar Employees Pull Plane for Special Olympics
On August 13, 2016, both Ankmar employees and family members gathered at the Denver International Airport to test their strength and support the Special Olympics Colorado Plane Pull. The Plane Pull is a giant tug-of-war between a team of up to 25 people and a 164,000-pound airplane.
The Ankmar team pulled a jumbo jet 12 FEET across the tarmac! The plane weighed in at 164,000 pounds. Out of 44 teams, the Ankmar/DH Pace team ranked #14! Their official plane pull time was 7.081 seconds! In addition, they raised $1,630 to donate to Special Olympics Colorado. Way to go! See more photos on our Facebook page.
